Laser Lights and Coastal Nights: Experience Bicheno Beams

Bicheno Beams Is Back - and It's Free

Every winter, Bicheno does something quietly spectacular. As the days get shorter and the town gets quieter, the foreshore lights up - literally.

Bicheno Beams is an annual community laser light show that runs every night from Saturday 27th June to Saturday 25th July 2026, bringing together locals and visitors for one of Tasmania's most unique winter events. And the best part? It's completely free and no booking needed.

Doors open at 6:00pm with the show kicking off at 6:30pm. There are two alternating 15 minute shows running across the season, so if you can stay two nights you'll see something different each time.

Why It Makes Winter the Best Time to Visit

Bicheno in winter is already something special - empty beaches, crystal clear water, long lunches and cosy evenings by the fire. Bicheno Beams adds a reason to make the trip right now, during the quieter months when the town feels entirely yours.

It's family-friendly, free and so much fun - we dare you not to have a shimmy to the huge tunes that accompany the lasers.

Make a Weekend of It

Bicheno Beams runs nightly, which makes it the perfect excuse for a winter escape. Spend your days exploring Douglas-Apsley National Park, swimming at Redbill Beach and eating your way through town - then finish each evening watching the sky light up over Bicheno.

Casa Collection has three luxury stays available right now for the duration of Bicheno Beams - all a short walk from the foreshore and the perfect base for your winter getaway.
