Bambino: A Little Bicheno Escape with a View

Bambino: a little place you’ll want to stay a little longer

You might arrive at Bambino with plans to get out and explore Bicheno, then find yourself on the deck, looking at the view and wondering whether any of it needs to happen quite yet.

Part of our gorgeous Casa Collection, this tiny hillside stay is made for two, with bushland beyond and everything you need close at hand. It’s somewhere to spend a few days with your favourite person, particularly if your idea of a good break involves a slow breakfast and a fairly loose interpretation of lunchtime.

Small, in a good way

Bambino brings sleeping, dining and lounging into one thoughtfully designed space, with a queen bed, compact kitchen and a cosy bathroom tucked away. You can make your morning coffee without getting too far into the business of being awake, then take it outside while you consider what to do with the day (see our itineraries).

It keeps all the comforts close at hand, so you can spend less time managing a house and more time enjoying the break.

The deck may interfere with your plans

With a private deck, a barbecue and those views, staying in is a pretty appealing option. Pick up something for dinner while you’re out in town (check out what’s available in Bicheno), bring it back to the grill and settle in with the bushland beyond.

If dinner takes a little longer because you’ve been enjoying the view, you’re probably getting the hang of the place.

As the evening cools, head inside and get comfortable, leaving the curtains open for a little stargazing away from the city lights. By then, tomorrow’s plans can probably wait until tomorrow.

Bambino is a little escape with plenty to enjoy, especially when you give yourself permission to do less while you’re here.
